ULC Goes Behind the Scenes with Calvert Foundation
Hollywood came to Denver last week while Calvert Foundation was in town filming Denver area partners, including Urban Land Conservancy, small businesses and potential impact investors. The footage will be used in a video kicking off the much anticipated “Ours to Own” campaign. ULC is thrilled to be partnering with Calvert Foundation on this groundbreaking initiative that allows community residents to invest any amount, starting at $20, in Calvert Foundation’s Community Investment Note. The proceeds of these Notes will be allocated to Denver organizations and businesses to revitalize and invest in communities throughout metro Denver.
Aaron Miripol, ULC’s president and CEO, was filmed in the courtyard of the Denver Indian Center and in front of a neighboring abandoned building on Morrison Road in need of redevelopment. Aaron spoke about ULC, the Ours to Own initiative, and even his plans to invest in the Community Investment Note. Community members from other organizations such as, BuCu West and the Denver Office of Economic Development will also be featured discussing how the “Ours to Own” initiative that will support and cultivate the Denver region. We look forward to sharing the finished flick, announcing how Denver area residents can invest in their own city!
