ULC Hosts BBQ with Residents to Celebrate Completion of $2+ Million Affordable Housing Rehabilitation
This past Wednesday, ULC hosted a BBQ to celebrate the completion of renovations at the Villas at Wadsworth Station. We wanted a chance to show our appreciation to the residents, who were incredibly patient and understanding during the entire construction process. The BBQ offered a chance for ULC, Integral Property Management and residents of the 100 apartments to come together and eat great food in the beautiful courtyard at Wadsworth.
ULC originally purchased Wadsworth Station in 2012 in an effort to preserve the long-term affordability of 100 affordable rental apartments as residents in the area faced the threat of displacement. In alignment with our mission to preserve affordability for long term community benefit, ULC and partners structure the necessary financing to complete a renovation of all 100 units and additional building improvements.
ULC chose Rapid Restoration to lead the rehabilitation, which started this past March. During the process, residents were moved from their units for one week and stayed on the property in a hospitality suite. Interior improvements included new appliances, flooring and HVAC units throughout each residence. The scope of work also included sewer line repairs, new exterior paint and additional ADA compliant ramps and ADA restroom in the property management office.

On behalf of ULC, we would like to extend a huge thank you to all residents for their patience during this process. We are also grateful to work with Integral as our property management team, especially during this rehabilitation. They worked around the clock to ensure all residents were as comfortable as possible! We would also like to extend our gratitude to Rapid Restoration for their incredible work and tireless efforts. We have learned that rehabbing 100 units is no easy task, and it truly takes a village!
We also want to recognize our valuable partners who are part of the financing and construction efforts that made this project possible. Thank you to Studio Completiva, the Colorado Department of Housing, CHFA, FirstBank, Family Tree, Metro West Housing Solutions, SB Clark and Richman Capital for your partnership.
