ULC Remembers Myrna Hipp, Board Chair and Civic Leader
It is with great sorrow that Urban Land Conservancy announces our Board Chair Myrna Hipp passed away on March 27, 2016. Myrna was an incredible leader within ULC, and for decades she fought tirelessly for those who had no voice, and was responsible for improving the lives of so many in metro Denver.
Myrna’s passing creates a huge void in our community, her legacy will carry on as ULC remains committed to supporting residents and families in the Denver region who are facing hardship around safe, affordable housing and supportive services necessary for a high quality of life. ULC Board Member Sue Casey represents the Board of Directors and entire staff as she states,
“Myrna was just such a strong, solid, smart woman, who spent her life in service to others, doing the hard work, keeping the needs of ordinary people and the community at large on the front burner. She never asked or expected to be thanked and was not concerned with what was in it for her. We have lost one of the greats of Denver and I miss her already.”
