The Office of Policy Development and Research (PD&R), a part of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), recently published an article on the current and future affordable housing developments in Northeast Park Hill. The publication highlighted ULC’s role in creating a transit-oriented development (TOD) in the Northeast Park Hill community, by first acquiring 9.4 acres adjacent to the 40th and Colorado light rail station.

The article delves into the multiple years of community engagement that followed the acquisition, as ULC felt community input was necessary for a successful development. Led by Radian, a nonprofit design group dedicated to the creation of healthy communities, one design was created through the engagement activities and was eventually incorporated into the construction of Park Hill Station Apartments – 156 units of affordable housing developed by Delwest Capital.

Today, Integral Group is planning to develop the remaining 6.7 acres surround the Park Hill Village West development, with a dedication towards continuing the trend of community engagement.
