2019 Impact Report
Twelve years ago, Denver experienced a push to identify and create shared spaces for nonprofits with the understanding that these opportunities had the potential to reduce costs, improve collaboration, and enhance impact. Urban Land Conservancy (ULC) was one of the entities that recognized the prospect, at neighborhood levels, for the creation of nonprofit centers and hubs to be critical assets, essential to supporting inclusive and vibrant communities.
Today, ULC owns and manages seven nonprofit facilities, housing more than 60 nonprofits tenants. On average, these tenants pay rent at 48% below market value, which minimizes their threat of displacement.
In late 2019, we conducted an evaluation to determine the missions of these tenants, who they serve, what benefits they perceive from leasing offices in ULC-owned buildings, and what their collective impact is.
This Impact Report provides a snapshot of our findings.
