Celebrating 20 years of impact: Read our 2003-2023 Impact Report
Twenty years ago, ULC’s founders recognized Colorado’s need for a nonprofit that would be able to help correct inequity in real estate by using community-driven strategies to preserve and create affordable land.
ULC set out in many of Denver’s historically redlined neighborhoods with an “in-placement” strategy to counter involuntary displacement. Over the years, ULC formed innovative strategies that allowed residents access to affordable real estate and the services they needed to thrive.
Today, ULC owns 50+ properties, leases below-market office space to over 78 nonprofit tenants, and has facilitated the creation of more than 2,300 affordable homes.
Dive into ULC’s most impactful developments and our legacy of combating the real estate affordability crisis in Colorado by reading our 20-year impact report: 20 Years of Impact.
