Elevation Community Land Trust Celebrates First Open House in Partnership with the City of Aurora
On June 25th, Elevation Community Land Trust celebrated the recent partnership with the City of Aurora by launching their first open house. The partnership marks Elevation’s first with a municipality, and will create permanently affordable homeownership opportunities over the next five years for at least 50 Aurora families living at or below 80 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI).
Elevation’s first home is a beautifully remodeled, five bedroom midcentury ranch located in Aurora. The open house provided an opportunity for guests to tour the home and learn more about the community land trust (CLT) model and Elevation’s plans to create additional homeownership opportunities in Aurora’s real estate market.
Stefka Fanchi, the CEO of Elevation Community Land Trust, welcomed guests to the home on a bright and sunny Tuesday morning. She noted the critical need for affordable for-sale homeownership opportunities through Colorado, and Elevation’s goal of serving more than 2,000 individuals and families over the next five years.
“What we are providing today is the chance for a family to purcahse a safe, clean and energy efficient home,” said Fanchi.
