Last weekend, BuCu West held their 8th annual Westwood Chile Fest. The festival, which is held on Morrison road in the heart of the Westwood neighborhood, has become a staple in the surrounding community. This year’s festival included local food vendors, art, the customary pepper eating contest, live music and performances – and much more.
The Chile Fest is hosted each year by BuCu West, a local nonprofit that has served the Morrison Road commercial corridor for over 30 years. BuCu West’s vision to “create a destination that promotes and supports entrepreneurs, small business, cultural organizations and residents in an authentic, energetic and colorful environment” has helped highlight Morrison road as the cultural asset that it is.
