ULC vs. Studio Completiva: Frisbee Golf Showdown
October 21st began like any standard Friday at ULC, with everyone wrapping up work in preparation for the weekend. The morning started off with the typical complaints that someone made the coffee too weak, followed by an extremely powerful brew to be made 10 minutes later. Emails were checked, deadlines were met. Sometime in the mid afternoon however, something in the office changed. A serious tone took over the office, as if a competitive energy had charged the air.
Water replaced coffee, and awkward stretching routines took over the office. Nike shorts replaced work pants. And just like that, the office emptied. For today was the frisbee golf tournament against Studio Completiva, and it was time for them to meet their match.
Or so we thought… In the end, the two groups merged to form four teams consisting of both ULC’ers and Completiva members. The course, located along the Lakewood Gulch was riddled with trees, pedestrian bridges and other obstacles. Which is how me and my team reasoned our dead last finish. The winning team was ironically named the “winners”, so they had somewhat of an unfair advantage. Both teams had a blast, as you can clearly see by our (very impressive) selfie. Thanks again for the great game Studio Completiva, we had an awesome time!
