ULC March Partner Spotlight of the Month
March Partner Spotlight: Denver Office of Economic Development (OED)
The Urban Land Conservancy celebrates the achievements of partnerships that create opportunities to create and preserve real estate to benefits communities. Kicking off this month, one community organization, municipality, foundation or business will be featured each month in ULC’s Partner of the Month Spotlight. The Partner Spotlight is awarded to partners who recognize and demonstrate the value of collaboration, furthering ULC’s mission and improving lives of Denver area residents through community assets.
To commence this new monthly accolade, ULC has selected the City of Denver Office of Economic Development as its first ever Partner Spotlight of the Month recipient.
Since 2007, Denver’s OED has partnered with ULC on 11 projects at 7 different ULC properties, where over 3000 people receive direct services through housing, community real estate and nonprofit facilities. Many projects impact the greater region as most ULC properties are located along rail or high frequency bus corridors.
It is meaningful for ULC to recognize this Public – Private Nonprofit partnership with OED, and celebrate the significance of OED’s investment in ULC real estate acquisitions, renovation projects and new developments. OED’s investments leverage millions through ULC and our private and nonprofit partners.
“Economic Development is core to our real estate mission, and our partnership with OED is symbiotic. Tramway Nonprofit Center and Holly Square are two great examples of how our partnership positively impacts Denver’s neighborhoods,” states Aaron Miripol, ULC President & CEO. “We are grateful to have such a strong partner who is a key ally in the creation and preservation of real estate that benefits our communities.”
