Transitional Housing Services Continue Near Future East Rail Line
Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) purchased ULC’s Gateway property earlier this month.  The former Budget Motel was purchased by ULC in 2006 at the request of CCH gatewayin order to provide transitional housing services to Denver’s homeless families along high-frequency bus routes and the future East Rail Commuter Line of FasTracks.
Gateway is another example of real estate preservation so critical services are available to the community. ULC was honored to be working with CCH and play a role in the short term so CCH could develop a transitional housing model and provide stability to hundreds of families.
Study on the Economic Impact of Housing in Colorado

Thank you to Dr. Elliot Eisenberg, senior economist with the National Association of Home Builders for coming to Denver and presenting the results of a very influencial study!

This 2012 study looked at the economic impact of building market-rate and affordable housing in for-sale and rental, single-family and multifamily developments in Colorado.  The study analyzed data from the largest metropolitan, rural and resort areas in the state, covering approximately half of all housing construction statewide.
