More Positive Developments at Holly Square
Thanks to Prodigal Son Initiative, Piton Foundation, Strengthening Neighborhoods and the HARP Committee, Holly Square will soon be home to 2 new basketball snap courts and 1 futsal snap court.  A new playground is also currently under construction on the west side of the property.
Boys & Girls Club is one step closer to construction!  Today ULC demolished the old Tacqueria, allowing for necessary infrastructure work to begin for the future Nancy P. Anschutz Community Center.

ULC Celebrates Construction of the New Evans Station Lofts
ULC and Medici Communities hosted a celebration event to recognize key partners in the new affordable housing development at Evans light rail station.  More than 60 people joined us to recognize partners including:  Wells Fargo, Transit-Oriented Development Fund investors, Richman Capital and Colorado Housing and Finance Authority.
This development is the first Low Income Housing Tax Credit project at a current station, and the first TOD Fund acquisition to begin construction.

Library Breaks Ground at Mile High Vista on West Colfax

ULC joined the City of Denver as they broke ground on the future west Denver Public Library.  The new library will be a LEED certified sustainable 2 story building that will include space for community gatherings, a children’s area, technology space with 50 computer stations, teen spaces, study rooms and plenty of meeting space.

The library will be the beginning of vertical construction on Mile High Vista.  ULC managed the environmental remediation and is completing infrastructure on the entire 2 acre site that will also include 80 affordable homes and a commercial building.
