ULC Completes Infrastructure at Mile High Vista
Next Step:  Library!

Last week marked the completion of the utilities and infrastructure work at the entireMile High Vista site on West Colfax.  ULC recently completed the environmental remediation, allowing for the start of redevelopment beginning with site improvements (infrastructure).  With this next phase of development concluding, the library will now mobilize to begin construction in early October and Del Norte will begin the construction of Avondale Apartments in January.  ULC’s total development costs to date are over $5 million including acquisition, predevelopment work, remediation and site improvements.
Big thanks to Nanci and Dana – our project management team at Sky to Ground LLC, and Mike and Charles with W.E. O’Neil Construction who completed construction and site improvements.

Big Things on the Horizon for Blake TOD
ULC’s Blake TOD property, located across from the 38th/Blake Station on the future East Corridor of FasTracks, has been selected as the focus of a design charrette at this year’s Housing Colorado Conference.  ULC staff will be joined by a group of architects, engineers, planners, finance professionals, students, RTD, EPA and City representatives for a 2 day charrette to create design concepts for this catalytic site.
Stay tuned for the innovative plans that will come from this process, and the hundreds of hours of contributed time (and creative thinking) from all of the participants.

We Partied the Last Day of Summer Away at the 5th Annual ULC Summer Soiree

Our past year of real estate success was celebrated as we recognized the terrific support and contribution from our green partners.  This  Summer Soiree included the City and County of Denver, Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Colorado Division of Oil and Public Safety and Environmental Protection Agency who were specifically highlighted as organizations that further ULC’s work to build strong (and green) foundations for development. Thank you to all who attended our annual shindig, check out more pictures on our Facebook page!
