Going Solar!
Lower Electricity Costs for Tenants at Tramway Nonprofit Center

ULC is working to reduce energy consumption at the Tramway Nonprofit Center in Denver’s Cole neighborhood.  We are very excited to announce that solar panels will be installed to provide 50% of the buildings electricity!  Read more about ULC’s partnership with the Tramway tenants and Custom Solar, and how this will provide local power and support our efforts to reduce Tramway’s carbon footprint.

Meet ULC’s New Asset Manager

Stephanie Tamblyn joins the team!  Before joining ULC, Stephanie ran Tamblyn Real Estate Investments, representing buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions and consulted for the Urban Land Conservancy on a part-time basis. She formally joined the ULC team in January 2013 and is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of 14 commercial, residential, mixed use and land assets.  She definitely has her hands full, and we couldn’t be luckier to have her on staff!

Celebrate with ULC at the Common Roots Early Spring Fete.
March 14th from 4:30 – 6:30pm

We just couldn’t wait for Spring!  ULC, DPP and Radian, Common Roots shared space partners, are excited to host an Early Spring Fete on March 14th.  You are welcome to join us as we eat, drink, listen to tunes by our favorite DJ Dia Beshara and celebrate spring (after all it is right around the corner).

Be Part of the Opening of the W Line at Sheridan Station

Interested in being part of the Housing and Development Showcase as the W Line opens for business?  Interested in learning about housing and development opportunities on the West Corridor?  Then mark your calendar for April 27, as RTD celebrates the opening of the W Line, and be part of the showcase at Sheridan Station.

If you are interested in participating in this showcase, please contact Christi at clongsdorf@urbanlandc.org.  We are expecting a very strong turnout from the housing, business and financial community. This is a great opportunity for housing developers, housing providers, community developers, lenders and the general development community to speak about activities along the W Line, really highlighting all of the opportunities driven by the W.

ULC is Grateful for Strong Board Leadership!

In our February board meeting, ULC’s board elected Rus Heise of RBC Capital Markets as our new Board Chair. He said “ULC is a wonderful organization with a really dedicated,  hard working  Board of Directors, I look forward to furthering the ULC mission and assisting our communities.”  As a nonprofit organization, we are so fortunate to have such an active and passionate board, and the strong leadership of our Board Chair is vital to our success.

Huge thanks to our past Board Chair, David Younggren who successfully led ULC through 12 real estate transactions, and represented ULC at many community, groundbreaking and celebration events.  Mr. Younggren will remain an active member of our board of directors and continue participating in several committees.
