August 22, 2011 Update


Our mission is to acquire, develop, and preserve community assets in urban areas for a variety of community needs such as schools, affordable housing, and office space for nonprofits. 

Affordable “Healthy Homes” to be Developed on ULC’s Land in Downtown Denver.
Nine affordable “healthy homes” will be developed in partnership with Northeast Denver Housing Center and Denver’s National Jewish Health.  These townhomes will be built lead, allergen, and chemical free.

The Board of Directors and staff of Urban Land Conservancy would like to remember George B. Beardsley, a founding Board member of ULC and major contributor to Denver’s real estate industry, Colorado outdoor preservation, and community nonprofits. Mr. Beardsley lost his battle with cancer this month. His tireless efforts and inspirational leadership in establishing ULC will always be remembered and appreciated.

The Urban Garden in Northeast Park Hill is Back!
For the second year, children, adults with developmental disabilities, and the Holly community benefit from gardening and education opportunities at the former Holly Square site.  Urban Land Conservancy partners with the Hope Center Vocational Program, and CSU Denver Extension/4-H work with the community to grow vegetables and flowers.
