What is the Economic Impact of Building Homes?  (hint…it’s big!) 

A recent study by the Housing Policy Department of the National Association of Home Builders looked at the economic impact of building subsidized and market-rate housing. Year-one economic impact of building single and multifamily developments in Colorado equates to $1.83 BILLION in income for Colorado residents, $515 million in taxes and 26,500 jobs!!!

April 10th was an important day for the future of transit and development in metro Denver as  Mile High Connects released the Regional Equity Atlas – a study on how public transit provides opportunities for low-income citizens. As RTD’s transit system is built out in the region, Mile High Connects is steering the commitment to ensure that low-income residents can use the expanded mass transit system to connect to education, jobs, health services and housing choices.
