the 2022 Mosaic Community block party sept 24 2022

It’s that time of year again!

Mosaic Community Campus (formerly Johnson & Wales University)  is hosting its annual Block Party!

Since the campus was purchased from Johnson and Wales in 2021, the campus partners Urban Land Conservancy, Denver School of the Arts, Denver Housing Authority, St. Elizabeth’s School, Kitchen Network, Work Options, Archway Communities, and others have worked to make Mosaic Community Campus into a hub for education, affordable housing, and community gathering. Now, it’s time to celebrate with everyone in the neighborhood!

All pets must be leashed and cleaned up after.

On June 8, 2021, Urban Land Conservancy (ULC), Denver Public Schools (DPS), and Denver Housing Authority (DHA) finalized the purchase of the former Johnson & Wales University Denver campus in Denver’s Park Hill Neighborhood. Through the partnership of our three organizations, as well as additional partners St. Elizabeth’s School, Kitchen Network, Work Options, and Archway Communities, and others, we expand our collective impact to create a public space that will promote health, economic security, community spaces, quality education, affordable housing, culinary arts training, and more.

The name “Mosaic Community Campus”  was selected from among 110 submissions submitted by community members and stakeholders through a six-month process. All names were considered and vetted by a 14-person committee including representatives from campus organizations, neighborhood groups, and representatives of each of the former colleges that resided on the campus.

Owner’s Association

An Owner’s Association (OA) was created in early 2022 to govern the operations of the common area on the campus. The OA Board consists of representatives from each of the campus owner organizations. Board members are

Aaron Martinez, VP of Operations and Sustainability, Urban Land Conservancy (OA President)- amartinez@urbanlandc.org

Erin Clark, Chief Real Estate Investment Officer, Denver Housing Authority- eclark@denverhousing.org

Sara Walsh, Director of Planning, Denver Public Schools- sara_walsh@dpsk12.org
