ULC is excited to announce that the demolition of the vacant warehouse adjacent to the Tramway Nonprofit Center is complete! Thanks to an incredible demolition crew, the tenants of Tramway did not have to suspend programming and were not negatively impacted despite the extra noise and dust. The CEO of Nokero Solar, a long time tenant in the building commented, “Nokero was not impacted at all. They were amazing. I can’t believe how quiet and dust-free it was.”
Demolition of Vacant Warehouse Adjacent to Tramway is Complete
As the Tramway Nonprofit Center continues operations, ULC will soon issue an RFP for the development of the now vacant land we call Cole Train. Due to the quickly changing environment as a result of all the development in Cole and surrounding neighborhoods, one of the pressing community needs is affordable housing. Although ULC is unsure of what the specific development will be, we will ensure that it will provides community benefit for generations as we plan to retain ownership of the land in perpetuity.
ULC will also require that our future development partner engages the community to solicit feedback on any proposed plans, and we will do what is necessary to support that outreach.

Our apologies for the late response. The Cole Train property sits adjacent to our Tramway Nonprofit Center along Gilpin St. in between 35th and 36th Avenue in the Cole neighborhood.
