Urban Land Conservancy is thrilled to welcome Santa Fe Ten’s newest nonprofit tenant: Spark Theater.

Spark Theater’s live theater programs offer a variety of performance options during the year to serve everyone in the community- the seasoned as well as novice theater attendees. At Spark they offer less seating than more traditional theaters which allows our audience to be “up close and personal” with the actors during the show instead of 20 rows back in theater seating watching from afar. This offers the community a whole new experience and appreciation for theater. They also give new actors in the Denver Community the chance to work with more seasoned actors to gain experience and further their skills. Also, everyone at Spark is a volunteer (no one collects a salary) which means that we are able to devote 100% of our income to our community programs.

Spark Theater not only handles theater performances, but they also have programs for children and teens in the community. Their after school Drama Club is an answer to budget cuts in the arts within schools. They offer low or no cost classes for tweens and teens to explore their creativity and have fun in a nurturing and safe environment. They are also in the middle of designing a new theater program for youth and teens with Autism/Autism Spectrum Disorders and Developmental Disabilities. There is nothing like this currently offered in the Denver area (or Colorado) and it will be another low or no cost community program where these youth and teens can come into a specialized environment that is accepting, nurturing and fun while working with them on a variety of things including social skills.
