ULC acquired this Northeast Park Hill property located at 33rd & Dahlia in December 2009. It was foreclosed upon in 2008 qualifying it for the Neighborhood Stabilization Program. The property consists of six buildings with a total of 36, 2-bedroom apartment homes and serves over 100 residents. This property was the first to utilize financing through the Denver Transit Oriented Development Fund (TOD Fund). The Dahlia Apartments provide 3 jobs.
ULC has completed several capital improvement projects including weatherization, new roof and community gardens. This affordable housing preservation was critical as Denver is facing a housing crisis and this property would have likely become market rate rental units.
