La Tela is Energizing Denver

La Tela Condominiums are this year’s 1st Place Energize Denver Renewable Heating and Cooling (Electrification) Award winner. The electrification category is at the forefront of Denver’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This category showcases a building that has recently converted to all-electric, installation of VRF, or converted space or water heating/cooling to electric. La Tela excelled in this category because it has Energy Star Appliances, on-site solar, energy-efficient heat pumps, LED lighting throughout, and more.

ULC purchased the land where La Tela sits using the Metro Denver Impact Facility (MDIF) and held the land until Elevation Community Land Trust (ECLT) was able to secure financing for development. Located along a high-frequency bus route, this land is a unique opportunity to create affordable homeownership opportunities in Denver’s Santa Fe Arts District Neighborhood. ECLT purchased the land from ULC in 2020 and has begun construction on the condos in partnership with Shanahan Development and Studio Completiva. The condos are expected to be completed soon! La Tela offers 92 permanently affordable for-sale condos in the Santa Fe Arts District. There will be a mix of studio, 2 and 3 bedroom units available, all under $200,000.
