On September 26, 2015 ULC, Northeast Transportation Connections (NETC) and PlatteForum launched a community engagement and online crowdfunding campaign for the proposed 303 ArtWay in Northeast Denver – www.303artway.org.

ULC is leading the collective impact effort in response to community resident concerns regarding the fundamental lack of existing connectivity to the East Commuter Rail Line now known as the A-Line. The intent is to create a new 5.5 mile Art, Health and Heritage themed multi-use, bike and pedestrian trail to provide connections throughout Greater Park Hill in conjunction with the arrival of the A Line East Corridor Commuter Rail. The 1.6 mile first phase of the 303 ArtWay will start at the A Line commuter rail station at 40th and Colorado and will end at Holly Square on 33rd and Holly in the Northeast Park Hill neighborhood. The 1.4 mile second phase will pick up at Holly Square and continue through North Park Hill all the way to South Park Hill for the 2.5 mile third phase that will include destinations such as the Denver Zoo and the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Over the next 18-24 months a community engaged vision planning effort will explore ways to implement the 303 ArtWay.

This unique First Last Mile Connection strategy will link ULC’s 9.4 acre Park Hill Village West transit oriented development site to the larger surrounding neighborhood area, while using creative place-making to celebrate the multicultural identity of Northeast Denver. In light of Governor Hickenlooper’s commitment to make $100M available over the next 4 years for an extensive new greenway/bike trail system across Denver, please show your support for the 303 ArtWay to be a part of making Denver one of the most connected cities in the nation!
