Join ULC and Medici Communities Thursday, August 16 to celebrate the development of the Evans Station Lofts and the key partners that made this innovative project a success! Festivities kick off at 9am at the future home of the Lofts where construction is already underway. The address is 2140 S. Delaware Street (directly across from the Evans light rail station).
The event will feature District 7 City Councilman Chris Nevitt, and Shelley Marquez, Vice President of Community Development with Wells Fargo, sponsor of this recognition event.
Evans Station Lofts will be open to families and businesses in the Spring of 2013. The five-story development will be home to 50 one and two-bedroom apartments for low-income families and will also accommodate 7100 square feet of commercial space.
ULC originally acquired this property through Denver’s TOD Fund, and later sold it to Medici Communities for the development of workforce housing. Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA) awarded Medici with low income housing tax credits for the project. Wells Fargo invests in both the TOD Fund and in the tax credits for this development. This project is the first “full circle” TOD Fund development, and involved many key partners who will be recognized in this celebration.
Hope to see you there!
