Bike to Work Day was very memorable for ULC this year. We hosted a celebration at the Phillips Center with friends, bike commuters and community members with a special presentation honoring the late councilwoman Carla Madison. Phillips Center is now home to a bright orange bike rack and a plaque in Carla’s honor.Read more about the unveiling and check out event photos on our Facebook page.

Good Luck in Grad School Josh Burdick!
ULC Development Team member Josh Burdick is leaving ULC to pursue a Masters Degree at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Although we are sad he is leaving, we are so excited for the opportunities in his future! Josh will be sorely missed and we wish him all the best as he earns his MBA with a focus in Real Estate and Finance.
“My goal upon completing my MBA is to work in real estate deal creation and investment fund development at a socially entrepreneurial organization,” said Josh. We are looking forward to seeing his continued work at the intersection of public and private interests around real estate in the long term (keeping our fingers crossed that he will come back to the Denver area!).
Please stay in touch with Josh at:

Common Roots has a new tenant, ULC welcomes our new shared space neighbor!
Common Roots would like to welcome our newest tenant: Yael Nyholm with Radian. Radian provides preliminary architectural support to community focused projects and works with nonprofits, organizations and communities to encourage quality community development and strengthen the legacy of our urban neighborhoods through education, design, and participation.
Funding for preliminary design and technical services are hard to obtain and the process of hiring a designer and assessing the needs for a project can be a barrier. Radian will help bridge these gaps while providing ongoing support.
Radian supports the development and implementation of architectural community initiatives that directly improve the built environment, livability and sustainability in underserved neighborhoods. Focusing on inner-city development at Transit Oriented Development sites and surrounding areas.
Radian is now accepting applications for new projects, in the areas of transit oriented developments and inner city corridors. Contact yael@radianresources.org
